Two production methods intermingle when two eras come together in our ceramic vases. Combining the typical Dutch eighteenth century decorative ‘cabinet set’ with twenty-first century pure function, Visser & Meijwaard has redefined functionality.

The design of the Familiar Ground vases transforms functional details into aesthetics. The lid vase and the open vase are the result of an extensive form research into the transition and balance between elements we found in contemporary mass-produced products. This ‘cabinet set’ can be combined in sets of three according to traditional decorating.
