Renaissance of The Abundance

Vera Meijwaard – Renaissance of The Abundance   / 2012

Inspired by the splendor of the cult of Virgin Mary Vera designed a collection that leads on to a renaissance of extravagance and luxury. By converting visual elements of this cult into a new aesthetic, she came to a contemporary translation of abundance. With this collection, called ‘Renaissance of The Abundance’ Vera tries to indicate the mental importance of the visual dream. Dreams have an uplifting and comforting effect as they rise above the everyday world. With dreams there always remains something to be desired.
