‘Truecolors’   / 2015

Inspired by the characteristics of PVC cloth, Visser & Meijwaard wanted to see how industrial fabric could play a leading role in a contemporary furniture piece. Truecolors is built up out of natural-finished oak frames with primary colored PVC upholstery that can be opened and closed with industrial zippers. The collection consists of a series of benches, stools and cabinets in which versatility of color and use are key. The exterior of the cabinets doesn’t show any fixation between the fabric and the frame, whereby the soft and tactile look of the fabric is retained.
